1. Who we are

Local Pickup Auto Discount is a Shopify app developed and operated by Journey Lab (apps@journeylab.org). This policy explains how we handle data collected during installation and operation of the app.

2. What data we collect

When you install the app, we store the following merchant data:

• Your shop's myshopify.com domain
• A Shopify API access token (encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM), used to create and manage the automatic discount in your store
• Discount configuration: your chosen discount percentage, active/inactive state, product targeting selections, and any scheduled start or end dates
• Subscription status: your Shopify billing subscription ID and status

We do not collect, store, or process any customer personal data — no names, email addresses, payment information, or order details.

3. How we use your data

Collected data is used solely to operate the app:

• Apply your configured discount automatically when customers select local pickup at checkout
• Display and update your settings in the app dashboard
• Verify your active billing subscription

We do not sell, share, or transmit your data to any third party.

4. Data storage and security

Merchant data is stored in a secured database (Supabase). API access tokens are encrypted at rest and never logged or transmitted outside of the app's core operation.

5. GDPR compliance

This app implements all three mandatory Shopify GDPR compliance webhooks. Because we store no customer personal data, there is nothing to return or delete in response to customer data requests. Shop data is fully deleted upon uninstall via the shop/redact webhook.

6. Data retention and deletion

To delete your data, uninstall the app from your Shopify admin (Settings → Apps → Local Pickup Auto Discount → Uninstall). All stored data is automatically deleted within 48 hours. You may also email apps@journeylab.org to request manual deletion.

7. Third-party services

This app uses the Shopify API to create discounts in your store. All API communication is governed by Shopify's Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via the Shopify App Store listing. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
